Light and Easy

OK--due to the nature of the HSPA tests--that is to say, the fact that they are stress-inducing, useless and utterly annoying--this week we will do a little light reflection in the form of one of those old-school "Facebook" surveys.

The trick is, you will have to copy and paste the entire thing into a word doc, and then change your answers to reflect your individual responses. Then paste it back into the posting dialogue box.

Read a few of your classmates and find some things about them--and possibly yourself--that you may otherwise not have known. The list below contain my answers in their entirety.

Though, if you have told me that, I apologize now. Huh, I didn’t even know you’ve been to Tennessee. I’ve passed through there to Kentucky, but I spent the whole time acting like a baby in the backseat because I couldn’t handle the country music. You’ll have to tell me about it sometime.

Dominique: Isn’t Riviera Maya beautiful?! That was a great vacation. And oh my God I cannot wait for April to roll around now, if I can even stay awake for some of the games. And I’m with you on the Carbonara. That’s some good pasta right there. I get it most of the time I go to Olive Garden.

  40. George- Cleaning "lady"? Are you implying that cleaning turns you into a lady? Or that it makes you a temporary lady for the duration of your cleaning? This sounds like a job for science!

Tom- You put Toy Story, and I was like "dammit, why couldn't this silly game be rule of 5!" Such is life.

Dom- We don't hate you for it. We're just silently judging you. Can you feel our judgement, burning in the back of your neck? Yeah, that's us. I get the feeling you don't really care though, so that's cool.

  41. Amber: YES I love ellen!! i so wish i could go to a taping of her show. She's amazing. Haha. But anyways, yeah i went to nashville a long time ago. The trip is pretty blurry now, but I remember really enjoying the weather (cause it was freezing in nj at the time) and it's a really beautiful city. I also went up to the smoky mountains. Luckily, i didn't have to listen to country music because i went on a tour bus :) I never knew you went to Mexico. (sounds like an awesome trip) Or kentucky. Not going to lie, Kentucky has never seemed appealing to me, but you should tell me about it.

  42. James - Trust me, I feel the judgement. I'm pretty much always judged for what I say, but I've learned to not care as much. Also, after our discussion before, I just want you to know that "judging" STILL has a negative connotation. :P

  54. Mikey G: You watch Ninja Warrior I thought I was the only one!!!! I like seeing people fail miserably as they try to reach the top of Mt. Midoriyama especially when they can't get past the easiest of parts. I just love the weirdness to the show, but I mean what do I expect its a Japanese show :)

Tom: I love that "Your. So. Freaking. Bored!!!" Don't worry Tom a lot of people haven't been outside the borders of Jersey. Or maybe you have and you just saying that your, bored I don't know I'm only assuming. Don't worry You'll get out of the state soon enough.

Amanda: Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! Rush hour 2 :), love that movie Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan make the perfect couple in those movies. I would have put that but I just couldn't decide. Also as we both know, you share in my aspiration of going to NYC and becoming enveloped by it. I mean it's the one place close enough where cool things happen and things to do so... :)

  55. Patrick: Smallville! I frickin love that show! I almost cried when I found out that last years season would be the last one. In fact, I still haven’t accepted it. I refuse to watch the last season because then I would have to accept the fact that it really is over. :(

Amanda: I love me some Criminal Minds and Ellen. I watch those two everyday! Oh and Curry chicken is delish! I will make you some one day. Don’t want to toot my own horn or anything but i’m a pretty darn good cook.

Nyamekye: Okay first of all i would just like to point out that I spelled your name correctly without even looking for it! It only took me two years! Woot Woot!Oh and I love the Big Bang Theory! Sheldon makes me think of you sometimes hahah! But anyways can we seriously go to Africa? You can pack me in your suitcase ahhaha.

To Cole: I love Futurama but I didn’t even think to put it. I’ve never had a paying job but an old people babysitter doesn’t sound very appealing to me. I also have never left my house, so I really wasn’t sure what to put.

To Tom: I never knew you had so many jobs. Lucky for you. I also noticed that you have the same three things listed under people that email you, except, of course, your mother. Maybe she does email me and Gmail just deletes it as spam.

To Amber: I see that your jobs are mostly focused around your family. While I didn’t list it, being a brother and son are huge jobs in my life. I’m constantly trying to improve how I perform these jobs. Like you, I do follow Fringe and I occasionally watch an episode of The Big Bang Theory. You were right, the humor does appeal to me! Because I’m a nerd.

  60. Matt: You Fool...you don't ever talk about Fight Club. But aside from that, you have a good taste in cinema. I don't know if I would want to watch Shawshank over and over again but it is a beautiful movie. I also see that you are a fan of the food network. I prefer watching anything with CHEF GORDAN RAMSAY.

Cole: I swear old person babysitting is the worst occupation ever. You know what I mean. I'm sure you miss them screaming at you to come over to them from down the hall. Such a peaceful and not depressing place at all.

Tom: Man, you just reminded me of how good and weird the movie Big Fish was. I definitely need to watch that again. I actually really want to go see it again. Like right now. Must find it. Off to the DVD collection.

  61. Matt: I probably could've named the movies you picked. You always talk about them haha. I'm constantly getting emails from johnson&wales. It's the worst. Gotta love taking business courses that give you credit at Johnson and Wales.

Dan: Nice job listing. I liked how you looked at it, from a non-paying point of view. Your "places I have lived" comment was pretty funny too. I'm not much of a bedroom leaver myself.

Connie: I love dazed and confused, very funny movie. But of course I can be sensitive. Though I do love Zooey Deschanel. Great actress and very pretty. She's also why I watch New Girl, but it's still a funny show.

  62. George: Pene means "penis" in Italian. Watch your spelling. Just putting that out there.

Emily: I don't mind hearing about your stage crew experience, I enjoy it more than hearing about other drama stuff. Also, Pokemon the First Movie is one of the greatest movies ever made.

Dan:I'd also rather be on the moon. It would be an adventure. We could drive around on a cool little rover as we played catch with moon rocks.
